Art On 1st is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition titled "Inside Out" from June 2 to June 30, 2023. It is part of the gallery's ongoing series of open-call exhibitions, which aims to showcase emerging and established artists, and provide collectors with a fresh perspective on art in Roanoke, Virginia.
An opening reception will be held during the Art By Night gallery walk on Friday, June 2 from 5-9pm.
The theme is left intentionally ambiguous to encourage artists to explore their unique interpretations. Artists were invited to create works based on what "Inside Out" means to them, whether it be a personal exploration of the self, an observation of nature, or a wider commentary on society.
Over 15 artists are included in this month’s exhibition. A variety of mediums include painting, sculpture, drawing, mixed media, photography, printmaking, and more.
