"Mindful Making with Textiles” celebrates the meditative journey often found in the repetitive process of crafting. This show encourages us to explore our rich traditions of using textiles to create art. These range from wall-bound work, quilts, and linens to wearable art and 3D forms. This exhibition illuminates how these practices honor heritage, serve as pathways to personal growth and positive change, and expand the use of textile as a medium in contemporary art practice.
Featuring over 20 local and national fiber and textile artists!
Show begins with an opening reception Friday, March 1st, 5pm - 8pm and runs until March 22nd, 2024!
